Funny how much a year can change things with these two teams being in completely different spots than last year. Anthony Davis led a LeBron-less Lakers team to a victory in San Francisco with 23 points & 6 rebounds. The Lakers had contributors from everyone and showed the weakest team in the league just who exactly is the top dog in the Western Conference.

During yesterday's big game between Lyon and Juventus, a fan interrupted the game to try to get close with star Cristiano Ronaldo. Unfortunately for the fan, CR7 was not having any of it. A wild game on Wednesday night with Jayson Tatum having another fantastic game as he dropped 33 points along with 11 rebounds to secure the big win over the Utah Jazz. Despite the loss, Donovan Mitchell put up yet another great performance as he put in 37 points himself.

 More bad news for New York Yankees fans as their star outfielder in Giancarlo Stanton is out with yet another injury. An MRI report on Wednesday morning reported a Grade 1 strain in his right calf that puts his spot on opening day in jeopardy. Tough break.

The Golden State Warriors were absolute juggernauts the past few years and while the Houston Rockets were super close to taking them out in the Western Conference Finals, they still fell to the Warriors in 7. Interestingly enough, Rockets owner in Tilman Fertitta spoke with the Austin American-Salesman and went as far as saying that the team was scared of the Warriors in years past but don't have that same fear for the other strong Western Conference teams this year. " None of us fear L.A. (the Lakers) or the Clippers or Denver like we feared Golden state. It's not like how we were scared of them. For the first time, LeBron James and Zion Williamson met on the court as the Los Angeles Lakers played host to the New Orleans Pelicans. LeBron dropped a season-high of 40 points while Anthony Davis helped carry the load with 21 points & 14 rebounds to secure the win for the Lakers in a great game on TNT.

The Milwauke Bucks continued their terror over the NBA on Tuesday night by defeating one of the best teams in the league in the Toronto Raptors. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 19 points & 19 rebounds while Kris Middleton continued his hot streak by contributing a solid 22 points.

Even though Bradley Beal did his best to will the Washington Wizards to a victory with a career-high of 55 points, the best team in basketball was too much to handle. The Milwaukee Bucks were able to secure an overtime win behind Khris Middleton and his 40 points.

The biggest free agent signing for the baseball world in Gerrit Cole made his pinstripes debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday in a spring training game. The Los Angeles Clippers made easy work of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday Night as the 2020 All-Star Game MVP in Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers to a big win over the Grizzlies. The Clippers were able to secure the win over the Grizzlies by 27 points.

Joel Embiid fought off all the critics with a career game on Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks. While Tobias Harris supplied the team with 25 points, it was Embiid who carried the load with a whopping 49 points & 14 rebounds.

The Toronto Raptors scored their biggest victory in franchise history by defeating the Indiana Pacers by a whopping 46 points! Kyle Lowry led the way with a staggering line of 16 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists & 5 steals. The Raptors continue their winning ways in the second half of the season.

Zion Williamson is quickly making a name for himself in the Rookie of the Year race as he had another great game with 28 points against the Golden State Warriors. The New Orleans Pelicans were able to secure the big win behind Zion along with Jrue Holiday who had 23 points & 15 assists.

A fantastic Sunday showcase between two the biggest NBA franchises saw LeBron James & Anthony Davis lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a big win. The two combined for 61 points and were too much for the Celtics to handle who also didn't have Kemba Walker available.

It was the most anticipated rematch of the year and it absolutely delivered. Tyson Fury is able to hand Deontay Wilder his first loss after a TKO stoppage in the 7th round secured Fury the biggest win of his career. A match against Anthony Joshua only seems fitting next. Anthony Davis & LeBron James both put on another excellent display for the Los Angeles Lakers as they faced off against a strong Memphis Grizzlies team. The Lakers pick up another big win coming off the All-Star Break and look to continue this big momentum into Playoff season.

NBA legend Kevin Garnett was a guest on the latest episode of All the Smoke with Matt Barnes & Stephen Jackson this week and had an interesting talk about his journey towards signing with the Celtics in 2007. Garnett also addressed how joining forces with Kobe Bryant with the Lakers was certainly an open option.

The Astros cheating scandal took yet another big step when the biggest name in sports addressed the issue. LeBron James took to Twitter to display his disagreements with the way Rob Manfred handled the entire situation. Do you agree with LeBron?

Ken Rosenthal of MLB Network interviewed Carlos Correa concerning the huge Astros cheating scandal and Correa had some choice words for Cody Bellinger. Bellinger went off on both the Astros and Jose Altuve in a previous interview with the media and Altuve's teammate in Correa had none of it.

The 2020 NBA All-Star Game was an absolutely wild one from the start to the finish. Defense was placed at a forefront here with Anthony Davis hitting the final free throw to secure the win for Team LeBron over Team Giannis. Kawhi Leonard would go on to take home MVP honors.

The Three Point Contest is slowly becoming the main attraction of NBA All-Star Weekend and this year, the players did not disappoint. Despite Devin Booker putting up another incredible effort, it was Buddy Hield of the Sacramento Kings taking home the win and the hardware.

Aaron Gordon once again delivered the goods in this year's Slam Dunk Contest and highlighted it by dunking over the tallest player in the NBA today. Despite not winning, he still put on another incredible show.

The Rising Stars Game is always fun as the Team USA vs. Team World format continues here in 2020. Miles Bridges took home MVP honors while the other young stars also got some time to show off their skills to the crowd. Awesome start for what should be an amazing weekend.

Prior to beginning their Spring Training, the Houston Astros issued their first formal apology since getting caught for their cheating ways in prior seasons. LeBron James recorded another big triple-double as a wild game between two contending Western Conference teams went to overtime. The Los Angeles Lakers were able to beat the Denver Nuggets despite Jamal Murray & Nikola Jokic putting on great performances.

The steaming hot Toronto Raptors looked to increase their 15 game winning streak in Brooklyn Wednesday against the Nets. Unfortunately for them, a Nets team without Kyrie Irving was still too much for the reigning champions to handle.

The legend of Luka Doncic continued on Wednesday as he led the Dallas Mavericks to another big win over the Sacramento Kings. Luka recorded 33 points, 12 rebounds & 8 assists to go along with the big win in Dallas.

The Boston Celtics took their winning streak to Houston to take on the smaller Rockets team. Unfortunately for the Celtics, their hot streak finally came to an end as James Harden put up 42 points while Russell Westbrook followed that with 36 points of his own to carry the team to a big victory.

The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night for their last game before the All-Star break. However, LaMarcus Aldridge's huge night proved to be way too much for Chris Paul and the rest of the Thunder to handle.

The New Orleans Pelicans scored a huge win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night behind Zion Williamson having the game of his career so far. The rookie sensation tallied 31 points and 9 rebounds to help secure the big win.

Despite a great effort from Kawhi Leonard as he dropped 30 points while dishing out 9 assists for his Los Angeles Clippers, the Philadelphia 76ers were finally able to get out of their hole tonight with a big win. Both Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid provided great support throughout the game and carried their team to a much-needed win.

The struggles for the Golden State Warriors continues as they faced off against a strong Miami Heat team on Monday. Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 21 points and 10 assists while Jae Crowder added another 21 points on top of that to seal the Miami win.

The Los Angeles Lakers were back on Monday to host the Phoenix Suns in a game that looked so easy for the Lakers. LeBron James & Anthony Davis both led the way as the Lakers rolled through the Suns easily with a 25-point victory.

As the Philadelphia 76ers continue to struggle before the All-Star break, Joel Embiid took to Instagram to share yet another odd post. Interestingly enough, a former teammate of his in Jimmy Butler chimed in. Perhaps a future reunion in Miami is imminent...

Even with the Spurs not having DeMar Derozan playing in tonight's game, they still put up a solid battle against a strong Western Conference team in the Denver Nuggets. Unfortunately for San Antonio, the big guns came out to play for Denver as Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray & Paul Millsap helped carry the Nuggets to another impressive victory at home.

Andre Iguodala made his return to The Bay tonight as a member of the Miami Heat. Before the game, the Golden State Warriors honored Iguodala with a video package detailing his time with the squad before Klay Thompson introduced him to the Warriors faithful. Iguodala was with the team when they won their three NBA Championships along with being named the Finals MVP back in 2015.

D'Angelo Russell's Timberwolves debut got spoiled tonight in Toronto as the Toronto Raptors continue to steamroll through their opponents. Tonight, the Raptors were able to extend their win streak to a whopping 15 games behind Pascal Siakam's 34 points.

After 16 years with the franchise, Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers have decided to part ways. This comes off Rivers' worst season as the team's starting quarterback. NBA veteran Andre Iguodala made his Miami Heat debut against the Trail Blazers in Portland tonight. However, Damian Lillard was there to spoil the party as his insanely hot shooting continues as his 33 points and 8 assists were more than enough to take down a strong Miami squad.

Before the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Los Angeles Lakers, they played a tribute to Kobe Bryant and the other passengers who were on board in the horrific helicopter crash. The classy tribute was done prior to Saturday night's game. If you haven't seen the tribute, here's a video of it along with highlights from the game.

Rumors were swirling around the league that veteran guard Darren Collison would be returning to the NBA. Particularly, both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers had interest in signing him but it looks as if he had a change of heart. Reports came in today that he no longer has a serious interest in playing at the moment and citing timing as the issue. Perhaps we will see him make a return to the league but as for now, it doesn't appear that a comeback will be in the near future.

Another thriller on Sunday with this game probably being the most wild out of them all. The Rockets looked to have the game sealed with PJ Tucker hitting a 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds left in regulation. However, Bojan Bogdanovic sealed the game for the Utah Jazz by hitting a crazy 3-pointer while being double teamed! Game of the night for sure!

This Atlanta Hawks team is young and coming up. They faced off against the New York Knicks in a double overtime thriller on Sunday with Trae Young having another incredible game with 43 points along with 13 assists. Also, John Collins contributed a solid 32 points and 16 rebounds in their victory.

Great Sunday game between two strong teams in their respective conferences as the Boston Celtics take their talents to Oklahoma City. Celtics were able to pull off a close game that was capped off by Marcus Smart forcing a Thunder takeover as time was expiring. Interesting to see how far these two teams will go come Playoff time.

Andrew Wiggins made his Golden State Warriors debut Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers but with a depleted roster, the Warriors fell short to the Lakers. Anthony Davis proved to be the biggest difference maker in the game with 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Last night's game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz was an absolute wild game. Damian Lillard had his usual great game but a blown goaltending call towards the end of regulation helped the Jazz in scoring a big win.

Despite the Atlanta Hawks being one of the worst teams in the NBA, it's always fun to watch the young team put up maximum effort against some of the better teams in the league. The Hawks certainly put up a fighting effort against the Boston Celtics who proved to be way too much for them behind Jayson Tatum dropping 32 points along with his career high of 7 3-pointers. The Lakers faced off against the Rockets tonight as the main game for NBA on TNT. The smaller and faster lineup looked to be too much for LeBron & crew to handle.
